Heard that we had to eat at this restaurant before we left STJ and since it was our 25th anniversary, we saved it for that.
When we arrived a few minutes early we were told to go to the bar and our server would find us. We walked into the bar and right out again because it was an enclosed area filled with cigarette smoke and since I have asthma we didn't say anything and just went back to wait by the door. Apparently they took offense to this. The hostess seated us at a table that she had to stabalize with something under the leg to keep it from rocking.
IF you go to this restaurant, part of the ambience is having a "rail" table, so request that if you want it. It looks out over the bay and onto St Thomas. We were told that other people were waiting for rail tables so this would have to do, when we hadn't even asked for one.
I had a salad that was nicely done, greens wrapped in cucumber and my mate had a lightly fried calamari, which was the best he's ever had. Our entree however was less than expected. It was a swordfish with lobster tail on top with a caramal glaze, which actually saved the taste of the meal. The fresh veggies were delicious. We didn't stay for anything else because we were so upset at being treated so rudely by the waitress who had friends at the next table and spent all evening swooning over them and gave us ownly cursery service.
