I always believe in starting with the positive first. This hotel has great views! The beach may be a short walk or shuttle ride from your room, but no matter how you get there it is worth the effort. Each restaraunt on premisis offers a different menu; all very good. Now for the negative-We didn't choose this hotel, because we went with a group of people. I have never had any problems with a Marriott before so we weren't too worried, but this one-We will NEVER go back to this resort. It took us 1.5 hours to get our room. Several times we talked to the staff at the front desk, who were of no help, and then to the manager. We actually had to talk to the manager twice before getting our room. The next day, the maid service left our room unlocked. Also, that same day, maintenance was in our room. We had no notification of this either. We were all inclusive. Each staff person you talk to would tell you something different that may or may not be part of the all inclusive plan. It was very confusing, and as a result, we will only travel to all inclusives that either the whole resort is that way or if you are all inclusive, you wear a wrist band. Although the food is very good, don't try and revise a menu item to your liking. It took one of the restaraunts 2 times to get close and on the third time, it still wasn't right. By this time, however, I had already waited 45 minutes past the time our food was brought out, and my boyfriend had already finished eating his breakfast. Overall, we felt as though the staff were not knowledgeable. In addition--be prepared to be approached each and every time you enter the main hotel by the time share "crew", who by the way are not even employees of the resort.
